I'm always asked this question, "how would you know if it's the right thing to do?" My answer has always been the same. If the decision excites you more than it scares you, then go for it. Ask yourself the question, "what's the worst thing that can happen anyway?"

The other day, my friend who is highly intuitive shared with me that she's doing tarot reading. She never told anyone except me due to fear. Filipinos are very religious and can be quite unaccepting of other beliefs aside from theirs.

Anyway, I asked about her Youtube channel the other day and had a look. I watched her reading for Virgo and actually sobbed while listening. You know, I have this personal dilemma for quite some time and I asked God and the Universe to give me a sign. A BIG SIGN that I would know is THE SIGN once I see/hear it. I want it to be so obvious like slapping me in the face. After listening to the tarot reading, it became clear what I needed to do. As if the 'message' was specifically for me.

Tarot reading has never been in my consciousness. I would read my horoscope from time to time but never really plan my life around it. But after watching my friend's tarot reading, I immediately felt clarity. Sure, my friend didn't have me on her mind when doing the reading, still her words resonated with me big time.

Now, I'm not telling you to find a tarot reader or do any of the spiritual stuff, my point is that signs are there if you closely listen. 

One time I asked for a sign. I said, "If I won't reach my target then it only means  it's a sign that I should stop what I'm doing. It's a sign that this is not for me."

You know what happened? I didn't reach my target . Did I stop? NO. In my gut, I know that I shouldn't stop and I don't want to stop. After that, I stopped asking for signs and basing my life decisions with them. I stopped asking to see purple flowers or white bird.  Rather, I now follow my intuition. After hearing/seeing/feeling something, you feel it immediately and say, "YES, this is it!"

Intuition is that guiding “inner voice” which always knows the truth – what is ultimately best for you, in all situations. We have all intuition although not everyone focus on developing intuition, as we live in a world focused on what we can see, taste, touch, and hear.

How can you enhance your intuition?

1. RECOGNIZE WHEN YOUR INTUITION SPEAKS.

Maybe you'll hear your message on the radio or from overheard it from someone else's conversation. You might watch a movie clip or see an ad. You might feel goosebumps or a feeling of relief. 

For years, I was very scared to quit my daytime job. It doesn't make sense financially and I know we're not yet ready. In 2019, when the idea came back to me, I felt peace and immediate knowing that it's now time. There were just excitement, gratitude, and faith that everything is falling into place.

And now, whenever I had doubts if we made the right decision, I would go back to the feeling of peace I had in 2019 and instantly reminded that I am where I need to be.

2. MEDITATE

Many consider intuition as our 6th sense. In order to improve it, you need to deepen your connection to it. Meditation can increase your powers of intuition. We must dig through our noisy mental state, our anxieties, our doubts, and fears, by accessing our subconscious mind. 

Spend a few minutes a day undistracted to master the feeling of inner peace. 

3. JOURNAL

Journaling is a tool for self-discovery. By writing a journal, you are accessing your intuition and capture its wisdom. Make it a habit to write your gut feeling and see afterwards if you were right. What happened? How did you feel?

Journal writing should not stop in surface level recounting of our days. Journaling is not the same as writing a diary. When we spend time each day to self-discovery, we begin to exercise that intuition muscle that resides within each of us.

Spend 10-15 minutes a day writing your thoughts and let me know how it improves your life. I want to hear!

4. TAKE FAST ACTIONS

I always say this, the Universe loves fast action takers. If it feels right, do it. Procrastination is the biggest killer of dreams and goals.

We keep on perfecting, overthinking, delaying, and doubting our decisions and actions. The sooner you commit to your goals, the sooner they'll become a reality. 

5. TRUST YOURSELF

Most people secretly yearn for someone to tell the answers sometimes - but when you this, you lose. Trusting your intuition is all about trusting yourself – and the more trust you place in yourself, the more success you will have.

In whatever goal you will make, developing a strong intuition will be the most important. And it's not only about KNOWING what to do, FOLLOWING YOUR INSTINCT is equally important.

Many people resist money. In fact, YOU might resist receiving money now.

"Oh, you're wrong LynJoy. I don't have that block. I want money and I want to receive more of them."

When I started dreaming of having my own business and soon quitting my job full-time, that was just that - a dream. I have no idea how or when it will happen. It was just nice to daydream and imagine how I'll spend my days - wake-up late, working on The Wealthy Pinay, preparing breakfast for my family. 

Daydreaming is a fun activity but going back to real-life is not. In the real world, I had to wake up at 5:30am, leave the house at 6 so I'll reach the office at 7am. Too early for my 8am time-in but the more time I delay my departure from home will result in getting stuck in horrible traffic that stressed me bigtime. I then leave the office at 5pm and if I'm lucky, I'll be home at 7pm. 

"I wish I could be a stay-at-home mom", was what I usually pray.
Again, no idea how it can happen. 
I got depressed. I cried for no apparent reason.
I'll cry in the office toilet. I'll cry inside the car.
I hated myself for feeling bad because, you know, I had a good job, very good salary, nice colleagues, supportive husband, life was good and yet here I am, ungrateful. It sucks!

But over time something in me changed. 

I allowed myself to dream without guilt.
I took control of my emotions rather than it controlling me.
I'm tired of being a victim (honestly, wala namang umaapi sa kin).
Instead, I decided to be the heroine of my own story. 

Looking back, I knew that my faith in Him helped me.

Things became more powerful when I started to trust myself too.
Can I achieve my dreams?
Do I have what it takes to start my own business?
Am I good enough to be successful?
Will I regret my decisions?

Many of us are riddled with self-doubt. It stems from our deep-rooted limiting belief that we're not good enough. And it doesn't matter if we are quite successful already, there will always be a tiny voice inside our head magnifying our fear.

I'm passionate about teaching on how to identify our limiting beliefs (which I call money blocks) and more importantly, how to deal with them. I'm very passionate about improving our money mindset because I've seen how a simple mindset shift can catapult someone to success. This is not only my experience but I've seen this time and time again with all my programs especially with Pinay Money Bootcamp. 

Can I tell you one simple mantra that you can say whenever you feel 'small' and doubtful? 

"I trust myself and my wisdom."

Don't let anyone makes you feel otherwise.
Don't let your past mistakes haunt you.
Never give others the power to make you feel small and insignificant.

Trust that you're making the right decisions.
Trust that you are a good person.
Trust that you have the wisdom to know what's right for you.
Trust that you can succeed.
Trust that everything will happen in His time.

Okayyyyyyy... now that I've said the 'life coach-y' advice, let me tell you some truth...

No one will believe in you (at first...)

May it be building a new business, quitting your permanent job to be a freelancer, writing your first book, being a social media star - anything that will require you to step up of your comfort zone will also freak out others. That's the freaking truth. Maybe your mom will be supportive. Maybe your best friend will tell you to go for it but the majority of people will give you random advice and comments that can turn out more negatively rather than encouraging.

And the most destructive comment is the one that has some iota of truth to it. 

"You might lose all your savings."
"It might not work."
"You're risking everything for something you're not sure."
"What if you fail?"

Because the reality is all their comments 'might' come true.
It's your thoughts and fears too!

I always tell the ladies in the bootcamp, if confronted with these money blocks, ask themselves these two questions:

1. Is it absolutely true? (like, are you absolutely sure that the outcome is negative?)
2. What would your life be without this block? (if you don't have this doubt or fear, what would your life be?)

Answering these questions will force you to reflect.

Would you really fail?
Will you absolutely lose everything to the point that you won't be able to recover? 
Chances are the answer is no.

And can you imagine not having the fear of regret or disappointment?
What could your life be if you don't have the fear of failure?
You would probably try everything and anything within your moral compass.

The thing is, the decision to trust yourself and your wisdom should come from within. You should be ready to try and take the risk.

And can I tell you something? The fact that you're reading this is actually a sign. You wouldn't even reach this part of this article if you weren't. 
The idea is already implanted in your brain. 
How exciting! Just like a plant, you just need to nurture it.

Avoid toxic and Debbie Downer peeps.
Surround yourself with people who dream like you.
Find a mentor.
Read books that can help you build your skills and mindset.
Stop overthinking and start doing.

Can you build wealth by just upgrading your mindset?

Women who worked with me know that upgrading one's money mindset is my greatest strength. I have the ability to upgrade my client's success mindset that they feel so empowered and as a result, achieved their goals.

The truth is, success is all about mindset. Of course, there's this 20% part (skills, knowledge, and talent) that adds up to the equation but the majority of your success lies to your mindset. 

Before I started having money, I always consider myself as a "positive thinker". I don't like drama around me. I hate the office gossips. I work hard and always give my 100% to the company. Yet, money was very tight back then.

It took a lot of hard work to get out of my debt situation and enjoy the money I have today. But it's not that of kind hard work you think it is.

Rather, I'm talking about the hard work I needed to do to get rid of my deep underlying negative beliefs about success, money, and wealth.

These were my money blocks when I started working:

"I'm not good enough to earn more."

"It's so hard to finish my credit card debts."

"If only I'm smarter, prettier, and more eloquent."

When I finally finished my credit card debts and started earning a higher salary, a different set of money blocks pop up:

"It's unfair that I'm earning this much compared to those who are working on their feet for 12 hours."

"It doesn't matter even if I feel abused, I should always give money away."

"I need to work harder to earn more."

And when I started my own business, these negative thoughts linger in my mind constantly:

"There is no way that my business income can replace my monthly salary."

"What if my business fails?"

"I should be contented."

Every time I reach a financial milestone, another set of money blocks will pop-up. They are always there.

The good thing is I'm aware when it happens and know how to deal with it now.

I'm telling this story to let you know that whatever scarcity you're experiencing right now can be fixed. You don't need to work harder or do other stuff thinking *this* is the magic ingredient. Once you deal with your inner money beliefs, believe me, everything will shift.
